| Games Need For Speed series has long been the de facto standard in the genre of arcade races (at least on PC). If some of the serious Racing game is still going kind of struggle, and there are projects that can compete with the reference Colin McRae Rally, then in the arcade incarnation unchallenged reign brainchild of Electronic Arts. Attempts to throw honored veteran of the throne have been many times. Over the past year alone just two serious competitor, Street Racing Syndicate and Juiced, decided to throw the gauntlet Need For Speed. The offensive was prepared so thoroughly that Need for Speed Underground 2 began slowly to retreat under pressure from rivals. The players were waiting - is it the eternal leader would give the palm of the hands of ambitious newcomers? But out Need for Speed Most Wanted, and fans breathed a sigh of relief. Revolution did not happen. |
