At the time the original Death Jr. became one of the first games announced for yet published then PSP. Project where the main role was played by a minor scion of his death, seemed promising, but, alas, expectations were not met. Now the studio Backbone decided to try his luck a second time - though apparently not in its rules to learn from their mistakes.
As its predecessor, Root of Evil is a bit like a simplified version of the famous Devil May Cry - your players a lot and often fight hand to hand, firing pistols, incidentally trying to overcome various obstacles, like cliffs and precipices. And do stunts is not so simple: up and running, and, in particular, the camera work are far from ideal, which often leads to the most dire consequences, the closer to the finale, so more often.

Since I remembered the final, say a few words about how it all began. In the absence of death (a death in the world Death Jr., Recall, male), his son, too Death, a group of friends engaged in scientific researches, which resulted in some zelenolitsaya lady named Furi, headstrong lady and ill-bred, broke free of the age-old prison and immediately began behave disgracefully. But would-be scientists, realizing what was happening, went to catch hooliganism.
The protagonists this time two: a handsome Dee Jay (that's most familiar names Death Jr.) joined eyed girlfriend Pandora. The girl, to be sure, the nature - where her friend are operating a huge scythe, Pandora prefers to rely on the whip, and they are, admittedly, has a bad thing. True, the difference in the battle between the characters is no - they are fighting the same way.
Initially wards are able not so much and know just a couple of key strokes. At first, this will be enough, but later on, willy-nilly will have to learn new tricks. Learn them easily: the knowledge of Root of Evil (as in many other games) are bought, and currency are relatively easily extracted Energy Orbs. Oddly enough, but rapidly growing list of combos and special moves does not make gameplay more varied. And as the Root of Evil, in fact turns out to be rather long, not everyone will have enough patience to reach the final.It does not help even quite nice graphics, original (obviously peeped in the films of Tim Burton), small world, and at times very funny characters in the dialogues.
However, fans of the first part, and fans of black humor, the game may well like. Therefore, if consider themselves either the first or the second, suggest look at the Root of Evil closely.

Two characters include the option to play together. And sure enough: the Root of Evil, you can take a couple of levels with a companion - one managed by Jay Dee, the other - Pandora. However, no bonuses for passage of a joint is not allowed - the levels are the same story scenes are repeated, and even the number of opponents does not change.
